1978 Oldsmobile Cutlass Salon W-30 Premium Audio Upgrade

Some classics deserve more than an ordinary stereo upgrade. This beautiful 1978 Oldsmobile Cutlass Salon W-30 came to Sound Connection for a complete custom audio system that would deliver premium performance without taking away from the originality of one of Oldsmobile's most desirable G-body muscle cars.

To preserve the factory appearance of the dashboard, we relocated the system's controls to the trunk using a Rockford Fosgate PMX-1R digital media receiver. The hidden controller provides Bluetooth streaming and modern audio control while allowing the interior to retain its authentic late-1970s styling.

Powering the system is a Rockford Fosgate M5-800X4 four-channel amplifier, professionally mounted on a custom trunk panel for a clean, organized installation that's both functional and easy to service. Every wire was carefully routed and hidden to maintain the same attention to detail found throughout the rest of the vehicle.

Rather than cluttering the trunk or altering the passenger compartment, the entire installation was designed to blend seamlessly with the car while providing dramatically improved sound quality over the factory system.

The finished result is a classic that looks virtually untouched but delivers the convenience and performance of a modern audio system. It's another example of how thoughtful planning and custom fabrication can preserve automotive history while making these legendary cars even more enjoyable to drive.
