The Story

When you're driving a box truck, one of the biggest challenges is seeing what's happening behind you. Traditional rearview mirrors become almost useless once the cargo box blocks your view. That's where the Rydeen R10-SPL Smart Rearview Mirror makes all the difference.

This 2024 Ram 5500 Box Truck came to Sound Connection for a safer, more practical solution to rear visibility. We installed the Rydeen R10-SPL live-feed rearview mirror and dash camera system, replacing the factory mirror with a full-time digital display connected to a rear-mounted camera.

One of the standout features of the R10-SPL is its adjustable live camera view. While backing into a loading dock or parking space, the driver can quickly move the viewing angle downward to monitor the bumper and surrounding obstacles with incredible precision. Once back on the road, the view can be shifted upward to provide a wider perspective of traffic behind the truck.

In addition to functioning as a digital rearview mirror, the system also includes an integrated front-facing dash camera, providing continuous video recording for added protection on the road.
