The Story

Large cargo vans offer incredible versatility, but rear visibility is one of their biggest compromises. This 2025 Ram ProMaster came to Sound Connection looking for a solution that would provide a constant view behind the vehicle without interfering with future camper van plans.

Instead of using a traditional rearview mirror monitor, we installed a dedicated display for the live view camera system. The owner plans to sleep in the back of the van and use a molded windshield sunshade, making a mirror-mounted screen impractical. By choosing a standalone display, we created a solution that keeps the windshield area clear while providing excellent visibility behind the vehicle at all times.

The live view camera delivers a continuous rear-facing image whether driving down the highway, changing lanes, navigating city traffic, or backing into tight campsites and parking spaces. It's a significant safety and convenience upgrade, especially for a vehicle with limited rearward visibility.
