The Story

When you're traveling in a large motorhome, your navigation system needs to do much more than simply get you from point A to point B. This Freightliner Valencia RV came to Sound Connection for an upgrade that would make traveling safer, easier, and more enjoyable.

We installed the Kenwood DNR1008RVS, a 10.1-inch multimedia receiver engineered specifically for RVs and commercial vehicles. Unlike standard navigation systems, the built-in Garmin RV navigation allows drivers to enter the motorhome's height, weight, length, and other dimensions. The system then helps route around low bridges, weight-restricted roads, and other obstacles that can create major headaches for larger vehicles.

In addition to RV-specific navigation, the system adds wireless and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, giving the driver easy access to music, calls, messages, and navigation apps while on the road. The large high-definition touchscreen is easy to see from the driver's seat, and support for up to four cameras makes it simple to monitor the rear, sides, front, or even a dash camera for added confidence behind the wheel.
