2012 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 RV Audio & Safety Upgrade

When you're traveling thousands of miles in an RV, comfort and safety matter just as much as the destination. This 2012 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 RV came to Sound Connection for a complete modernization that improved both the driving experience and life on the road.

The audio system was completely redesigned using Hertz Mille Pro speakers for exceptional sound quality. Up front, we installed a set of Hertz Mille Pro 5¼-inch component speakers, delivering detailed highs and rich midrange performance. To improve sound throughout the cabin, we custom fabricated mounting locations overhead to install a pair of Hertz Mille Pro 6x9-inch speakers, replacing the factory speakers and outdated lighting for a clean, integrated appearance.

Powering the entire system is a Hertz SR 6.600 six-channel amplifier, providing clean, controlled power that allows every speaker to perform at its full potential while maintaining exceptional clarity at any volume.

The factory radio was replaced with a Kenwood DMX-1058XR floating touchscreen multimedia receiver, bringing Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth streaming, navigation compatibility, and modern connectivity to the RV. The large floating display makes controlling music, navigation, and communication effortless while traveling.

Safety was also a major focus of the build. We installed EchoMaster blind spot cameras, giving the driver increased visibility when changing lanes or navigating traffic. At the rear, a Metra third brake light backup camera provides an elevated view behind the vehicle, making backing into campsites and maneuvering in tight spaces significantly easier.

To complete the transformation, we upgraded the factory high and low beam headlights with 20Twenty Lighting LED bulbs, replacing the dim factory halogens with bright, modern illumination that improves nighttime visibility and reduces driver fatigue during long trips.

The finished result is an RV that's safer, easier to drive, and far more enjoyable on every adventure. Whether crossing the country or heading to the next campground, this Sprinter now delivers premium sound, modern technology, and confidence behind the wheel every mile of the journey.
