1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Complete Audio System Upgrade

A car as legendary as the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 deserves an audio system that's every bit as impressive as the rumble under the hood. The owner wanted exceptional sound quality without sacrificing the classic feel of this first-generation Camaro, so we designed a complete system focused on clarity, balance, and performance.

At the center of the upgrade is a Kenwood KMM-X705 digital media receiver, providing Bluetooth streaming, high-resolution audio support, and modern connectivity while serving as the foundation for the entire system.

For the front stage, we installed a set of Hertz MPK 165.3 component speakers, delivering detailed highs and rich, natural midrange that brings music to life. Rear fill comes from Hertz CX 690 coaxial speakers, creating a balanced listening experience throughout the cabin.

Low-frequency performance is handled by a Hertz CS 250 S2 10-inch subwoofer, adding clean, controlled bass that complements the rest of the system without overpowering the car. Powering everything is a Kenwood XR901-5 five-channel amplifier, providing efficient, crystal-clear power to every speaker and the subwoofer.
