The Story

The factory audio system in the Ford Edge does a respectable job, but for drivers who enjoy music with real low-end impact, there's plenty of room for improvement. This 2022 Ford Edge came to Sound Connection looking for a bass system that would deliver serious output without sacrificing the vehicle's factory features.

We installed two Rockford Fosgate P3D2-10 10-inch subwoofers in a ported enclosure, giving the system the ability to produce deep, powerful bass with excellent efficiency and output. Power comes from a Phoenix Gold amplifier, providing the clean power needed to get the most out of the P3 subwoofers.

To integrate everything seamlessly with the factory audio system, we added an AudioControl LC2i Pro line output converter. This allows the aftermarket equipment to work flawlessly with the OEM radio while preserving all of the factory controls and features. The LC2i Pro also restores bass that many factory systems reduce at higher volumes, ensuring the system performs consistently no matter how loud it's played.

The finished result is a Ford Edge that still looks completely factory from the driver's seat but delivers the kind of bass you'd expect from a dedicated aftermarket audio system. Whether commuting to work or heading out on a road trip, this upgrade transforms every drive with clean, impactful low-frequency performance.
