The Story

Luxury SUVs deserve an audio system that matches their refinement. This 2026 Lincoln Nautilus came to Sound Connection looking for a clean, understated upgrade that would add the low-end performance the factory system was missing—without giving up cargo space or altering the vehicle's premium interior.

We built the system around a Kenwood X503-1 monoblock amplifier and a Wavtech LinkDQ line output converter, providing seamless integration with the factory audio system and a clean, high-quality signal path. For bass, we installed a Kenwood P-XW1221SHP high-power 12-inch loaded subwoofer enclosure, delivering impressive low-frequency output while maintaining a compact footprint in the cargo area.

To ensure the installation looked as professional as it performed, we fabricated a custom ABS mounting plate to securely mount the amplifier and LinkDQ beneath the cargo floor. We also added sound damping beneath the spare tire well, reducing unwanted vibration and improving the overall bass response by creating a quieter, more solid foundation.

The finished system delivers deep, musical bass that complements the factory speakers without overwhelming the cabin or taking over the rear storage area. It's the perfect upgrade for drivers who want noticeably better sound while preserving the practicality and luxury of their vehicle.
