The Story

A well-built cruiser never goes out of style, but after nearly 30 years, the factory audio system was ready for a complete overhaul. This 1995 Maxum Sport Cruiser came to Sound Connection looking for a system that could match the enjoyment of spending long days on the water.

We equipped the boat with three pairs of Rockford Fosgate M1-65B 6.5-inch marine speakers along with a Rockford Fosgate M1-8B 8-inch speaker, creating full, balanced sound throughout the cockpit. Whether cruising across the lake or relaxing at anchor, everyone on board can enjoy clean, powerful audio.

Power comes from a combination of Rockford Fosgate PM500X2 and PM1000X4 marine amplifiers, providing dedicated, efficient power to every speaker for exceptional clarity and dynamic output. To modernize the system, we added a Rockford Fosgate PMX-8BB black box media receiver, PMX-1R wired remote, and PMX-8DH display, giving the owner convenient control of the system from multiple locations around the boat.

To complete the package, we installed a Rockford Fosgate PMX-RGB lighting controller, allowing the owner to customize compatible RGB lighting for the perfect atmosphere whether cruising during the day or entertaining after sunset.

The finished result is a classic Maxum that now delivers modern performance on the water. Powerful sound, intuitive controls, and Rockford Fosgate's marine-grade reliability make this 1995 cruiser ready for many more seasons of unforgettable days on the lake.
