The Story

The Silverado ZR2 is built to tackle tough terrain, but like many factory audio systems, it leaves plenty of room for improvement in the bass department. This 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ZR2 came to Sound Connection looking for a clean, factory-style solution that would add serious low-end performance without giving up valuable interior space.

We built the system around an AudioControl LC-1.800 monoblock amplifier, providing clean, efficient power to a Rockford Fosgate 10-inch subwoofer mounted in a custom under-seat enclosure. The hidden installation preserves the truck's factory appearance and keeps the rear seating area fully functional while delivering the kind of bass that transforms the listening experience.

By integrating the system with the factory audio system, the owner keeps all of the original controls and features while gaining deeper, tighter, and more impactful bass. The result is a system that sounds like it should have come from the factory—but with the performance enthusiasts expect from premium aftermarket equipment.
